Biohazard Light Source

The most powerful and innovative handheld UVC light with capabilities beyond what has ever been possible before.

A new chapter in forensic history

Biohazard Light source provides a new and unique way to detect and secure evidence previously too difficult to locate with UVC lights.

The high-intensity beam is powerful enough to be used in daylight and is well-suited to accompany forensic professionals in any environment as the design is compact, low-weight and the Biohazard Light Source is powered by a high-efficient li-ion battery.

The new contribution to the fight against crime will write itself into the history of forensics as the Biohazard Light Source brings the possibilities of shortwave ultraviolet light into the hands of any capable forensic professional in a way that is unmatched by any previous UV-C lights on the market.

Leading-Edge technology

Stay one step ahead

Ready to serve

Built to meet the highest expectation and requirements from the most demanding users working in the field and laboratory.

Use the narrow and intense UVC beam to detect bodily fluids, trauma to the skin on people or animals, or Latent fingerprints in combination with DactoFlare®

Light in the UVC spectrum is very different from typical wavelengths used in forensics as UVC light is absorbed by most material and therefore background fluoresce is eliminated when using the Biohazard Light Source.

As the UVC spectrum is not visible to humans the Biohazard Light Source is also fitted with a visible UVA light to guide the user to where the beam of light is directed.

The Biohazard Light Source is intense and bright enough to be used both outdoor in daylight and indoors in a bright environment.

Protect Yourself

Personal Protection Equipment.

UVC has been known for its antibacterial properties for more than a decade. The technology is used worldwide to eradicate potential threats from harmful pathogens.

Using Biohazard Light Source on saliva and other virus/bacteria-infected fluids will greatly reduce the risk of contracting a disease.

It is suited to be used as a personal tool to help any person increase their safety against biological threats while also decreasing the risk of transmitting diseases in any environment and will prevent harmful pathogens from entering clean rooms and laboratories when moving evidence from a crime scene.

Decontaminate evidence before physical contact and reduce the risk of transmitting harmful viruses and bacteria before they infect again.

Superior Quality

Biohazard Light Source is created to accompany professionals even in a harsh and rough environment.

The Biohazard Light Source is made of the highest quality anodized aluminum and is coated with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) self-healing anti-corrosion coating to secure long-lasting durability.

By using the latest technology, Biohazard Light Source is capable of delivering a new and unseen efficiency.

Our new optic, LEDs, battery, and other new components constitute technological breakthroughs which are why the Biohazard Light Source is the most advanced and powerful portable shortwave UV 268nm light available on the market.

Biohazard Light Source can be used separately but is a perfect fit with the wide selection of wavelengths offered in the ForensicFlare Light series.

Detect

Deployed by Coroners, Medical examiners, Crime scene investigators, and Labs to search for body fluids (including urine and sperm), bite marks, bruising, hair, fibers, and accelerants (Oil, gasoline, etc.)

The use of ultraviolet light in the 265nm spectrum will aid in forensic medical examinations of victims with suspected stains and skin trauma and is highly efficient in the detection of semen.

With the addition of a UVC light in the forensic lab, the user will increase the odds of securing evidence while eliminating potential harmful pathogens from spreading.

Identify

Professional crime scene cleaners can use the Biohazard Light Source after homicides, suicides, industrial accidents, and other traumas to disinfect and eliminate harmful pathogens.

Use it as a part of the PPE and reduce the risk of contamination and infections while working in houses, businesses, vehicles, small rooms and other areas where traditional UVC products previously were unable to be used.

The Biohazard Light Source unlocks the power of UVC light in a handy, highly durable and extremely powerful tool and provides the crime scene cleaners with a new weapon against harmful substances and dangerous pathogens.

Protect

Fighting crime while staying safe against an unseen enemy is a difficult task even for the most experienced law enforcer. Using the Biohazard Light Source as a part of any law enforcement routine will decrease the risk of infection and biohazard contamination.

Use the Biohazard Light Source as an everyday protection tool on a driver’s license, disinfect evidence before handling or clean a car before entering and eliminate the risk of contamination.

All this can be done without impairing DNA traces.

Prevent

Professional crime scene cleaners can use the Biohazard Light Source after homicides, suicides, industrial accidents, and other traumas to disinfect and eliminate harmful pathogens.

Use it as a part of the PPE and reduce the risk of contamination and infections while working in houses, businesses, vehicles, small rooms and other areas where traditional UVC products previously were unable to be used.

Working with Shortwave UV

New UV Technology

UVC is not new to being used in forensics but never has a UV light offered this much potential in the field and laboratories. Using only the latest technology Biohazard Light Source introduces impressive possibilities to professions such as forensic, law enforcement, crime scene cleaner, and more.

UVC has long been used in laboratories and the medical industry due to its efficient properties against harmful pathogens.

Safety Equipment

The Biohazard Light Source was designed to be used on the go by professionals. It is therefore made to offer maximum safety on its own. But to reduce potential short-term sunburn and cataracts regular safety equipment can be used such as:

– Stackable Cone
– Goggles
– Gloves

Stay safe working with UVC light.

Working with UVC lights before the introduction of Biohazard Light Source has been affected by the poor performance of older mercury UVC lights used in laboratories. These light sources offered a broad spectrum of UV light which is unavoidable due to the technology as they did not only produce UVC light but also UVB light which is known for its negative long-term effects.

The new generation of UVC LEDs introduced by Biohazard Light Source has a much more narrow waveband than the old technology could offer.

When using the Biohazard Light Source the UVC light is directed forward and the spread of the light is regulated by the reflector and the UVC radiation does not pose any danger to the user standing behind the unit. Unlike harmful UVB radiation, the penetration depth of UVC radiation on human skin is very low and stops at the epidermis layer and the risk of sunburn and cataracts is low.
